As a little girl I absolutely loved this programme, and I still think it has the best theme tune ever.
For the benefit of younger folk, the series was called 'White Horses', and it was shown in the morning during school holidays back in the 70s, along with other fab and groovy (yes, we used those words then) offerings such as the 'Banana-splits' and 'Why Don't You'.

Who remembers this?

12 little notes:
It's funny, I don't remember it. BUT I do know that I had an EP with four TV soundtracks on it as a very young boy. "On White Horses" was one of the songs. My mum tells me that my younger brother smashed it with a hammer. I would have been less than 7; which means he must have been four and a half or younger. We still have different musical tastes.
I didn't recognise any of the images, but the soundtrack did sound kind of familiar.
Not a patch on Noggin the Nog though
Those images have been inserted by someone else. It was black and white set somehwere foreign and flat, and in fact I don't remember there being a word of English apart from the theme tune. To me the song was magical and worth waiting for but the show itself was a blur.
Did it have subtitles like all those Checkoslovakian fairy tales such as The Singing Ringing Tree?
Now THAT was a tearjerker if you were 6, LOL.
:-)
Having three elder sisters who were mad about horses, this brings it all back!
i feel very old suddenly
i remember it what a trip down memory lane thanks

I don't remember it either - but I was an avid Banana-Splits fan, and I HATED 'Why Don't You' :).
You OK Kate? Long time, no blog.
'ello??? Where'd ya go to?
Come back Kate all is forgiven!!!
Kate,
Remember it too well.
But no-one has ever been able to explainto me why it was called 'On White Horses' when in the horse world they'd be called Grey!
Hope you find your mojo soon.
TT.
